Alizah

Maybe this is the time for a move to Providence! You know there's a spare room awaiting you and Ben there ;-) Oh, and by the way, have you considered a career as a high cuisine street vendor? A local restaurant here in Providence serves gourmet hotdogs at a stand in a nearby park during the daytime. Perhaps a gourmet waffle stand in Central Park? And oh, the blogs you could write about it...

Molly

Those look HEAVENLY. Angel food, indeed! As a longtime devotee of the buckwheat pancake, I now have no excuse for not owning a waffle iron. Amazon, here I come...

Oh yes, and lots of luck to Ben!

Julie

I really like the picture of the cheeseburger. It looks so vivid.

NY sounds like a depressing apartment hunting market, and moving is never fun anyway, but it sounds like you two were making the best of the apartment hunting thing.

I love buckwheat in all of its manifestations-including buckwheat noodles, thin crepelike giant pancakes...I may need a waffle iron too.
These look and sound delicious.

Tania

I, too, love buckwheat, and these waffles sound like a must-try recipe. I wonder if my old-fashioned (and non-Belgian style) waffle maker could handle this batter ...

Despite coming from the land of the Maple Leaf, I've never heard of that divine-sounding maple cream. Must find some!

Luisa

Alizah - I don't know what's a better idea: me finally realizing my calling to provide people with high-quality snackfood, or getting unlimited sleep between the fantastic sheets at your house... :)

Molly - every serious breakfast-eater Must Have A Waffle Iron. Must!

Julie - thanks! It was a delicious burger, I have to say, even on that dinky English muffin. Yeah, the apartment search is pretty much the worst thing ever...

Lindy - You'll get so much use out of it! And I have more waffle recipes to share to make your purchase that much more worthwhile.

Tania - as long as you ladle in less batter, I'm sure a regular waffle iron could handle it. And yes, the maple cream is just manna, you must find some!

Ivonne

Ciao Luisa!

Those waffles look fantastic. It's funny because I've had a waffle craving and was thinking of pulling out the waffle iron this weekend ... now I shall definitely do so!

Faythe

Need the buckwheat waffle recipe, please.

Waffle Recipes

Hey thanks, as you might have guessed I collect waffle recipes, thanks for some new ideas!

I'd love to have this recipe if you still have it around. Buckwheat is the ultimate grain for me. I love it so. And you made these look sooo good! Thanks so much! <3
