I love the radishes in a salad like this. I like to put them in conventional chicken salads and shrimp or tuna salad too.

This looks very appealing, light and picnic-y.

It sounds like a delicious salad. And you're laminating the recipe for posterity? That's sort of like your personal hall of fame, right? I'm definitely checking it out.

You´re right, " chicken salad" sounds too much like the mayo drenched stuff we´ve all felt sorry for at one time or another. Whatever you call this, it will be nothing like. Looks good for summer evenings.

On tired, hot nights such as the one you describe, I like to slice up a chicken breast, season the hell out of it, and grill it to put on top of a salad. I never thought to poach it--I'll give it a try.

Thanks, Serge.

Lindy - Radishes always make me happy. The ones we had were incredibly mild, though. I almost wanted a few real nose-clearers in there.

Julie - I really do think I'll be making this over and over again, it's just that kind of staple thing you want around. Not reinventing the wheel, but still a great dish.

Ximena - doesn't that stuff look so sad and forlorn? Yuck.

Leland - I'm far more partial to poached than grilled chicken because the good chickeny flavor (if you're using nice, organic chicken) comes through so much better. Plus the chicken stays moister.

Wonderful recipe! I was imagining some chopped grapes in the recipe as well. Thoughts?

Ken
