Oh, ma cherie, I am so, so happy to see this post. [You're probably already gone, but I am going to pipe up anyway. I meant to leave a comment on your last post - with all the cockroaches and insurance woes and job blehs - but I got caught up in some blehs myself, and well, umm.] Something tells me that the next ten days will be even more delicious in real life than they sound in your words here, which is saying a lot. I'll be thinking of you. xo

That's a gorgeous photo! Enjoy your time away...

Lovely, lovely, lovely.

I knew you needed a holiday when you mentioned the waterbugs, job, insurance companies but proof finally came when you called the worlds best sport "soccer". Get back to Italy pronto and remind yourself that it is glorious FOOTBALL :)
xx

I can't imagine a more wonderful holiday; enjoy yourself and bring home some food souvenirs.

So WHERE in Italy are you going?? Anywhere close to Florence??

I hope you have the best of vacations Luisa, sure sounds like you could need it, with all that nastiness going on. Insurance companies, ugh. I'm dealing with mine right now... But I'm counting myself lucky, I don't have any bugs around - other than the insurance type people, that is!:-)
Take some more lovely photos, and can't wait to hear from you again!

Buon viaggio, Luisa!

I keep meaning to pass this information on to you: at the LA Book Festival when the food editor of the LA Times was asked which blogs she read, she said yours because she "can't resist."

That picture looks so tranquil -- the perfect place to holiday.

Hope you had a great vacation and I'm looking forward to your return. I'm missing my Wednesday Chef fix!

Ilva - I was in a little village near Urbino, in the Marche...quite far away from everything!

ciao luisa,
tanti auguri ed un grande abbraccio da milano!

a presto vincenzo
